Arrived at Paddington Station via London Kings Cross on my way to Bath. Weather absolutely scorching and it is so hot in the station. I feel really sorry for Paddington Bear as he is wearing a hat and duffle coat. That marmalade sandwich under his hat must be really squashy by now!

Michael Bond is one of my favourite children's authors, and I have read all of the Paddington books and watched the films. When I attended Holbrook Primary School in Coventry, the teachers read excerpts of the Paddington books out to the class. Sometimes if the weather was good we all went over to the playing fields and sat on the grass to hear the stories. 

I also have Paddington Bear and Aunt Lucy soft toys made by Gabrielle Designs amongst my teddy bear collection. It will soon be time to give them their quarterly clean along with the other bears. I am not sure Paddington really likes his duffle coat and hat to be vacuumed but needs must as he can get quite dusty!
